SOUTHERN LOYALIST’S, Including Irish & Scottish, & Bahamas Loyalists & Other Territories
The North American Colonies were settled and influenced by six groups: (a.) The Spanish, in the St. Augustine and Florida region; (b.) Great Britain including the Irish and Scottish settlers in the Virginia and southern region; (c.) The Dutch and German’s in the New York to Pennsylvania region; (d.) Great Britain in the Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay region; (e.) France in the Acadie/Quebec Region; (f.) and finally the Native First Nation Tribes of all regions. The sub-groups in these areas were: The Catholic; Protestant; Puritan; and Quaker influence. The melting pot of the America’s began when each group went to war or dominated the other, mixing the cultural soup that made North America what it is today.
This American Loyalist listing will concentrate on the “Southern Group” with a focus on the Irish and Scottish Loyalists’ too. The areas covered will be Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia and Western Frontier where possible. 160 pages, Published by Paul J. Bunnell, UE, 2007. $19 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each added item.
The New Loyalist Index Vol. 6
First Nation Loyalists' And Their Associates. As listed in the rest of this series, I have placed the sources at the front of the book and noted a source code after each Loyalist listing. Though small, this edition contains our Native American, and their Associated members. Many may not be Native American, but was associated with them through their service in the Indian Department. But, many of the non-natives could be spouses or children of the First Nation People so it is worth listing them here. Every effort has been taken to identify who was Native American because it is the aim of this edition to list them. Any corrections or additions are always welcome to include in my future publications. Published by Paul j. Bunnell, UE, 2007, 37 pages, cost $15 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for added item.
The New Loyalist Index Vol. 7

American Loyalist Migrations & Documents Guide
This excellent booklet describes many different types of Loyalist documents and what important information can be found on them. There are photocopies of original documents, maps, and newspapers, plus many others. Migration patterns and place names can be very important during research. When the loyalists left the colonies, they took the names of their villages and other geographical area names they were familiar with and gave them to their new homes, rivers, cemeteries and other places. They contain your loyalist family names. Paul has listed several samples at the back of this text. Also, this booklet goes very well with the above “Research Guide To Loyalist Ancestors.” Printed 2001 byWhittier Press Inc., Amesbury, Ma. 56 pages. $17 (US) plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each added item
Thunder Over New England, Benjamin Bonnell, The Loyalist
A Loyalist Story & Family Genealogy, Including Genealogy of Other Loyalist Bunnell/Bonnell's (Revised)
This is the one that started it all. Paul’s first book was originally published by Christopher Publishing, Hanover, Ma.1988, 103 pages. It had a great sales track record through the years. This new edition contains a large amount of added historical facts, genealogy and index. Chased out of New Jersey for helping the British pass counterfeit money, Benjamin Bonnell and family flee to New York City as Refugees. There, he signs up with Brig. General Benedict Arnold in his special bodyguard until, The American Legion, and they go on to destroy New London and Ft. Griswold, Connecticut in 1781. In 1783 a defeated lot, the loyalists leave NYC in the “Great Exodus” heading for Nova Scotia to start a new life in a hostile wilderness. This story would make a great movie about our forgotten Americans. Step aside “The Patriot.” Here comes “The Loyalist.” Besides a valuable story for the loyalist descendants, this book contains many names of other loyalists and some Patriots, including other Bunnell/Bonnell loyalists and their genealogy and historical facts. This book is a valuable tool to the researcher of loyalists. And let us not forget about the famous encounter with Ben’s ghost in 1985 and all the other strange events that followed, all updated and included in this new edition of 322 pages (Reprint) published by (Heritage Books) Willow Bend Books Inc., Md. $29.00 (US) plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each added item
Loyalist Evacuees of Boston, Massachusetts, March 1776
This project was part of my next book, The New Loyalist Index, Vol. 4, but I extracted the nearly 300 loyalists and their families who took part in the Boston evacuation of March 1776 because of the upcoming 19 June 2004 re-enactment at Ft. Independence, Castle Island in South Boston, Mass sponsored by the Tory Trails. This booklet is a valuable tool for all the Massachusetts Loyalist researchers or history buffs. Castle Island was the last British stronghold in the Boston area and the Loyalist evacuation was under their protection during their departure to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Printed: Amesbury, Mass. 2004. Price: $17 plus $4 S/H (USA) and $1.50 for each added item

Life of A Haunted House
(The Barnstable House of Barnstable (Cape Cod), Massachusetts
Nearly completed, this true haunting story of one of the most historical homes on Cape Cod will soon be available. Built in 1713 at Scituate, Massachusetts, just a few miles south of Boston by the famous Paine family, it was barged to Barnstable across the Cape Cod Bay to its final resting place on the historic and scenic Kings Highway (Route 6A). Sounds pretty simple ah! Well, think again! This tale begins with the cutting down of a large tree in the Scituate forest to build this house. It is sometimes narrated by this tree (fictional). After many years of research, this author has put together a genealogy of sorts of the owners, history and its ghosts.Firsthand accounts and eye witnesses have beenquoted including a first encounter of the ghost kind by this author with the help of the Psychic who helped me during my research and discovery of Benjamin Bonnell’s ghost in my first book, “Thunder Over New England.”
Some events in this book are sad with the tragedy of poor “Little Lucy” in the “Well” in the cellar, the hanging of Edmund Howes, the tragic life of Doctor Samuel Savage. It is said that Herman Millville wrote some chapters to Moby Dick upstairs. Many other spirits who haunt the hallways fill this book with mystery and wonder. The 1985 night before Halloween party that revealed “Little Lucy,” and her sweet mysterious greeting years later will make you stand back and gasp. Published by Heritage Books, ISNB 1-58549-859-9. 124 pages. $22.50 (US) plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each additional item

FRENCH, ACADIAN & NATIVE NORTH AMERICAN FIRST NATION MATERIALS
French & Native North American Marriages, 1600-1800, Vol. 1
After finding my four Huron lines who came from Ontario, Canada, and who took refuge in Quebec with the help of the Jesuit Priests around 1640, I was compelled to record as much as these records from many primary and secondary sources to help others find their Native American connections. Persecuted by the Iroquois for trading with the French, the Huron's who numbered around 20,000 were reduced to 2,000 by 1640, nearly wiping them out. Many of these Native Americans (First Nation) along with other tribes and clans of the Iroquois nation, including all the Acadian coastal tribes married into French families who settled areas of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI (St. Jean), Newfoundland, Maine, and other upper colony states, including some farther west territories. This book contains mostly the Eastern Canada and Upper New England areas, but does pick up a few Miami/Detroit and a few other Tribes west of the above mentioned areas. I’ve since found one more ancestor of mine. A Micmac girl who married Pierre Lejeune in Acadie (Nova Scotia) approx. 1622.
Though not a perfect and complete collection, there are many families listed here that now have millions of descendants today. This book is in an easy index format with all the main surnames listed in alphabetical order in bold print. Where possible, I have listed both names, but you should check for possible listings in other places to assure that you find all the records. There are 161 pages with over 1000 listings, mostly marriages, but some baptisms. Published by Willow Bend/Heritage Books, Inc. of Maryland, ISBN 0-7884-2595-1. 166 pages. $25 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each additional item.
French & Native North American Marriages & Other Sources, Vol. 2
My volume 1 has helped many locate leads or to their actual Metis ancestors so I have created Volume 2. There are 42 sources that were consulted. This collection has all types of records found on our French and Native American relationships, taking one step further past marriage sources. Remember! This guide and listing is only recording what others have found and therefore always open to more research. My books are designed to help bring all these sources together so we as genealogists can make a better determination as to proving our true descent to our ancestors.
I have published this work myself to keep the high cost down for you. Good luck!
Published by Paul J. Bunnell, UE,126 pages, paperback, cost $20 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each additional item. ISBN 0-9779682-4-3. Please order from authors address noted above.
French & Native North American Marriages & Other Sources, Vol. 3
Continuing with this series, I have listed many more records of French and Metis, and Native North American’s from the Northeast (Massachusetts, Maine, New Brunswick, and other maritime provinces, New Hampshire, Vermont, Quebec, and going west into the wilderness as the French traveled. There are some English relationships as I found them, not wanting to leave out any possibly Metis genealogy. There are still many lines in dispute so as I mentioned before, always double check your sources and gather all points of view because much of these records have been handed down by oral tradition, and Jesuit records covering up our Native heritage, and some translation and other type errors. These works I produce are only here to help us find the most correct sources. I also dedicate this volume to my recent tribal association and membership to the, Koasek (Cowasuck) Traditional Council of the Abenaki Nation. 121 pages, tape bound for keep the cost economical for you. $20 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 for each additional item.
French & Metis Native North American Relationships, Including Their Records, Vol. 4
I have continued this series due to popular demand. Many sources are from the Internet and other collections including DNA study groups exposing possible Native American’s in our French genealogy. Some areas cover Abenaki, MicMac, Huron and other Algonquin Nation Tribes/Bands. Some sources included are Jette, Jesuit, Stephen White’s, Quebec Census, PRDH, Norm Leveillee’s records, Ne-Do-Ba website, Metis Websites, Port Royal Church Records, FamilyTree.com Ameridianne DNA site, and many others consisting of over 25 sources. But, like all other cautions that must be present in this type of research; you need to verify and cross -reference your findings to feel secure of these results. This series are only tools to find your Metis or Native American Connections that you thought you never had. Good Luck! There are over 114 pages, soft bound, plastic cover, published by Paul J. Bunnell, UE, 120 pages, Price $20 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 per additional item.

OTHER BOOKS, GIFTS & GENEALOGICAL MATERIALS
The House of Robinson
The Robinsons of Rhode Island, Their Genealogy & Letters & The History of The Robinson & Son Oil Company
of Baltimore, Maryland
This project started out with some old letters found in the possession of William Champlin Robinson III dated as far back as 1745. Correspondence in these letters covered business and family matters throughout the American Revolutionary War era and continued on to 1838. Most of these letters dealt with events taking place in or around Newport, Rhode Island. In 1832, twenty-seven years before the first oil well was drilled by Colonel Edwin Drake, the William Champlin Robinson Oil Company was founded in Baltimore, Maryland, making it the oldest oil company (incorporated) in the United States. Initially, their resources came from animal fats, vegetable oils, fish oils and sperm whale lards until later when oil from the ground became reliable and plentiful. At the turn of the century, the Robinson family was able to get in on the ground floor of the emerging automobile industry. They became so influential that during World War I, President Woodrow Wilson asked William C. Robinson to head the Oil Conservation Department in Washington DC as “Fuel Administrator.” With his influence and energy he helped convince the manufacturers and the general public to conserve oil and gas for the war effort. Following this appointment, the family influence in the oil business slowly began to wane and eventually the business was sold. The front of the book contains the Robinson genealogy from the mid-1600’s in England up to present day. Lots of interesting information for the Oil history buff, Robinson genealogist, family members and historians. Pub. 1995 by Heritage Books Inc., Bowie, Md. ISBN 0-7884-0191-2. 226 pages. $23.75 (US) plus $4S/H and $1.50 for each additional item.
TUMBLEWEED
The Nellie (Patton) Markham Letters
Based on hundreds of hand written letters, “Tumbleweed” is a story about a family tragedy taking place in the northern prairie states just before and after 1900. Mostly in Minnesota, the story is about Nellie Markham, a simple god fearing tubercular woman who thought she found happiness and the perfect man who was laying railroad tracks across the prairie. Instead she found a man that grew tired of her and went off with another woman, leaving poor Nellie with four young children to care for which she could not do alone. As her failures mounted, she grew restless and like a “Tumbleweed” she drifted around trying to find her happiness. The Minnesota State School System came down on her and took her children away. That is when all hell broke loose. Nellie declared an unsuccessful war against the system, her husband, the foster families, and officials. Her quest leads her to Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Saskatchewan, Canada. In her final defeat, with her tuberculosis, Nellie loses her battle from this dreaded disease, and is left alone and abandoned, dying in an unnamed institution in an unknown location. This publication has over 100 pages of Markham/Patten and related genealogy lines. Published by Paul J. Bunnell, UE, 331 pages, indexed, soft bound, plastic cover, $35 plus $4 S/H and $1.50 per additional item.
