The Descendants Of
by Rita Violette Lippe
Our Violette family owes much to Rita Violette Lippe, for starting the Violette Family Association, and for publishing this book. After many years of devoted research and gathering every once of family records she could find, The Descendants of Francois Violet was published in 1984 by Naiman Press of Lawrence, Massachusetts.
The book has two indexes; one for Violette's, the other for spouses. Each person is assigned a number and the parents on each page has their number referenced so you can follow your genealogical line all the way back to our founding ancestor, Francois Violet.
Francois was born 16 Oct. 1744 in Saintes, France to Charles Violet and Marie David. In 1751, the family sailed to Louisbourg, Acadie, Canada and tradgically on 26 May 1751, Marie David died. On 27 June 1751, Charles married Marie Sudois, daughter of Paul Sudois and Anne Deniot.
Rita covers much of the family history, plus the history to date of the Violette Family Association and how it grew to what it is today. This book is a great piece of work and a must for all Violette family members and historians. It has 480 page, hard cover, with photos.
